Viessmann Climate Solutions is an international leader in the manufacture of air conditioning, heating, industrial energy and refrigeration solutions. The established management systems for quality, environment, energy and occupational health and safety have been merged into one integrated management system since 2020.
The quality management system defines all principles and systematic procedures for achieving and safeguarding all internal and external requirements for the products and processes. By maintaining and constantly updating the quality management system, we can ensure that the requirements are met and help to preserve the long term success of the company.
Viessmann was first certified to ISO 9001 in 1994. In 2019, we successfully converted to the updated ISO 9001:2015. Since 2020, the quality management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually in conjunction with our other management systems.
For decades, we have been putting into practice the concept of integrated environmental protection along the entire value chain. Environmental protection integrated into processes and products is given top priority over remedying any damage that has already occurred. Environmental management, which has been implemented for a number of years, organises and monitors the translation of our environmental policy.
Our ISO 14001 certification demonstrates that we comply with applicable environmental legislation and work to continuously improve our environmental performance. Since 2020, the environmental management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually in conjunction with our other management systems.
Viessmann has been certified to ISO 50001 for the energy management system at its Allendorf site, and other sites. Increasing energy efficiency plays a key role in achieving energy and climate policy targets. Energy efficiency is therefore an important part of resource efficiency.
Since 2020, the energy management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually by an external certifier, in conjunction with our other management systems.
After 10 years of successful participation in the BS OHSAS 18001 audit for occupational health and safety, our top performance was confirmed and certified by TÜV Rheinland to the new EN ISO 45001 standard.
Viessmann Climate Solutions has been rolling out the occupational health and safety management system since 2020, and it is expected to be certified jointly as part of the integrated management system from 2023.
EMAS participants operate a standardised environmental management system to ISO 14001 and undergo annual audits by state-approved, independent environmental assessors. They publish their environmental data, including resource and energy consumption, emissions, waste, etc., in detail in their annual environmental statement. They also set environmental targets and publish how environmental performance will be continuously and systematically improved.
Thanks to its exemplary and innovative environmental management, Viessmann is recognised as an environmental pioneer. Viessmann Werke, with its sites in Allendorf (Eder), was the first company in the heating technology sector and the second company in Germany to be certified in accordance with the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) in 1995. Today, the Viessmann site in Allendorf (Eder) has the oldest entry in the EMAS site register.
